    bLown tire r3v's my car...

althought its not too bad, it looks like the valence is not too hard to replace, so Im not tooo worried. if anyone could shed some light on that....

Otherwise, I was taking an offramp. tire blows, car dips to right and I pull the ebrake and slam on the front brakes, causing the car to slide sideways on the off ramp *fuhraze* until it straightened out and went into the median at a much lower speed than freeway. so damage done was minimalized. Im bummed, but looking forward to a body shop experience.

    pictured uploaded.

Im planning to look for an alpina valence, or something like that to at least make the most of this disaster. or just a regular good shaped valence. What doesn someone recommend?

I didn't think anyone made an alpina valance for pb cars? (Besides Alpina that is)

Never touch your brakes on a blown tire while at speed.
          Cool your okay though.

Alpina valences look weird without sideskirts, but it looks like you got that covered.

It was instinctual to pull ebrake because it was a front tire. I have never lost control to that degree before. Ill be signing up for the BMWCCA Car control clinic.

Never experienced a blow out myself. Must be frightening.

Out of curiosity, what tire was this?

Great Idea, BMW CCA driving schools FTW

What caused the tire to blow?

Did it blow out "kaboom" or just go flat? I had a rear puncture once, and I didn't notice until I heard the funny noises.

i've had my rear tires blow when drifting. pretty scary shit, glad to hear you're ok man.

the valence is really easy to replace. check your radiator support though, i've had those fall victim to shaninigans before
