Jaywood, I have... but I am short on money. I have like $1400 banked, but that's E30 money. I dont have a job.. yet. Im working all of Summer 2011 summer though, 40 hour weeks. I dont want to have a lot of money in this bike, and powdercoating is expensive

Harbor freight sells a kit for like $60 that I have. It works great. Just put the parts in your kitchen oven (might not be too safe) or an old oven that you could find at an appliance store. You might get lucky and find one they're throwing out.

You cant use your kitchen oven for powdercoating! It WILL work, but all the fumes and shit ruin your oven for REGULAR use. You DO NOT want to use the same oven you eat with, to powder coat with.

Since when is a MOTORCYCLE frame going to fit in a regular oven?

i highly recommend krylon engine enamel. It can withstand heat, its pretty scratch resistant and goes on smoothly and evenly.

I would say powdercoat too, but I bet with strip/finish would be north of $200.

^ This. I use it for suspension parts, brackets, etc. and it holds up really well. I just used it today on a crank for an old BMX bike I'm putting together:

Crappy cellphone pic, but you can get an idea of the gloss. You can see by how little overspray got on the masking how good the coverage is, a little goes a long way. That's only one coat. The stuff lays out really nice, but it will run if you're not careful.
