My eta wont rev past 3k. need help, soon

i'm not quite sure where to start. i test my coil, and tps and they both turned up good. i need some ideas though. i have a video on my phone that i will post when i got home, at about 330-4.

I'm supposed to be selling this car, tonight, so this is kinda clutch!

Edit: tested my AFM, as well for, continuty, and my fuel pump for current. tested o2 sensor. got no voltage response, at all

i don't think its in the throttle... when it revs up that high the car starts to miss fire. based on a smoking rubber piece at the end of my tail pipe, i would say i have a hot exhaust, as well.

if you have an aftermarket chip that increases the rev limit to 7k, make sure you didn't put it in backwards. it can have the reverse effect and drop the redline down to 3k.

(i am kidding... please don't open up your ECU)

could that really hinder performance that radically? i get 27mpg

today the rpm level dropped to 2k before it started doing this, so it doesn't sound like a limp mode. does this car even have a limp mode?

i did a load test on the fuel pump. 3.34 amps. thats well with in spec.

is there any way to test for a reference sensor?

Make sure you plugged your AFM in all the way.
