    Shock question.

I'm about to tackle front shocks today I just got some bilstein sport. The question is what's that plastic ring that comes with them? Bumstop? Where does it go?
Might be a stupid question but the help will be appreciated.

they secure the boot over the shock, check the directions (if some were included) there is a small description.

in the picture if above, if you just slide the ring further up the shock body you can slip the boot over the ridge to hold the boot securely.
