Keep the ideas coming! We're not going to dig into this thing until Monday, probably paint closer to Friday. Currently he only wants the merc logo, just the three-point thing painted black on the grill and trunk as well as the AMG on the left of trunk.

Whole grill would look better though....maybe black grill and silver star? I dunno.

one engine shot...guess I didn't get the interior. its all black leather with AMG floor mats and woodgrain all over the place.

really badass looking car, something you'd expect a russian mafia boss to drive. But under the hood, I always thought it was hilarious how far behind BMW and Porsche they were back in the 80's when it came to electronics and engine management. A 1960s style air cleaner on an AMG car, really?

I'm sure it sounds badass though, there's a guy who drives a totally original bone stock 70-something convertable. It doesn't look like much but it's got a pretty nice burble when he starts it up.

Update: Sorry for forgetting about this thread!

The car has been painted and we'll be continuing the assembly today. We re-hung the doors yesterday, trunk is on, spoiler is on, just bumper and front end for now.

Interior is too legit to quit, typical and assumed amount of wear considering the age of the car, but all in all, the wood grain is still super glossy!

Customer paid about 20k and after paint and some mechanical work, is hoping to re-sell it for 30. I kindly recommended that he keep the car.

The dual exhaust, v8, AMG setup...yeah, it sounds pretty mean to say the least. SUPER throaty.

Chris, that thing is bad ass. I built a HUGE system in one of those back in the day, that interior can be tough. Get some fresh pics up!

If your man wants remote start on that, let me know, I would be willing to come down and do it in your shop if it is OK with you.
