How do you tuck/ untuck them so easily? Didn't you weld your shocks after tucking?
No, don't weld the shocks. All I did on mine was drill out the shocks and then pound the bumper in with a rubber mallet. To un-tuck it sit on the ground in front of the car, brace your feet on the tires and pull on the bumper.
My shocks weren't even rusty and I had to use a hook and nylon tow rope tied around a tree to pull my bumpers out.

notch bumpers + rust bomb spray on shocks after you tuck them. i was able to have tucked early bumpers on a late model valance that way and remove them with ease.
take big square of metal out of the bottom of the bumper where the shocks mount to it. you can fit a 1/2 drive racket up there.
