Long story made short:
My M20 blew. My dad sold his house in NY which had a garage where i stored/worked on my e30. I was/am living in Ohio. Since the car wasn't running, and i no longer had a place to store her i needed to get it back on the road and out to ohio.
I sourced a relatively inexpensive lower mileage s50 to swap into my E30. The guy i bought the motor from (Mike) said he would do the swap for a very reasonable price, and after talking to him/looking at his threads on bf.c i trusted he was more than capable of getting it done. I'd been looking forward to doing the swap myself for years, but with 600 miles between my E30 and I paired with my lack of a garage it just wasn't feasible.
Mike assured me that since he wasnt working or in school he could have the car running and driving in 5 days once he had all the parts(oil pan, harness, trans brace, etc...). So i figured it would be realistically about a 2-3 week total between sourcing parts and doing the work. Mike also assured me it would he could tow the car out to Ohio as long as i covered his gas, which i said would be no problem.
I had my AAA drop the car off at his house on April 26th. Its now November 3rd. I still dont have my car, and from what he has told me the car is not running as a result of the wiring. He has told me every week for 2 months he will be towing it out "this weekend".
What do i do? I do not have a tow vehicle so i cant just go pick it up myself. I'm too young to rent a truck/trailer, and its almost winter and I've been without my E30 for 7 months as opposed to the few weeks.
