Hey, send me a pm with your number. Im the one who bought the car from you.

I have been out of town for several months and returned back to florida in the last week or so. Registering a car from out of state is not the easiest thing to do (im sure you could understand that)

In any event, You should still have all my info, and if you need to contact, do so properly.
And for what its worth, i robbed 4 banks and ran down 7 hookers while the car is in your name.

          :)

for any state when dealing with a personal sale of a car you should make copy of front and rear of title with signatures, date of sale, a copy of the person license. I also write up a bill of sales with make, model, vin#, miles, buyer info, sale price, as is (if needed), date and signatures.

in California, its called 'release of liability' and is attached to your title(removable). when you sell the car you fill that out and both people sign it. the seller is required to send in or take it in to the dmv office within 10 days.

so if you had done that then it wouldnt matter on your end if the buyer registered the car or not.

The title of ownership will be "officially" swapped to my name in early January.

You should be able to go online and release interest of the car. I know in WA you can.

                  WTF?

What's so hard about registering a car from out of state?

You have the legit title, right? You have a valid ID, right? You have insurance, right? You have any $$$??

Seriously, I'd love to know why you say it's so hard to do.

Pretty sure in the state of FL its a real pita.

i know in CO its a pita, you need to go to a dealer to get a VIN verification, and in order to do that you need to get temp tags to drive your car to the dealer, then you need to wait 6-8 WEEKS for a title in your name. compared to in-state title transfers, which costs $7 and 5 minutes while they print you out a title, its a real pita.

Go turn in the tag and tell the tag office you sold it.

When traveling for a few months, do you bring the title of your car?
How about memorizing the vin or writing it on a sticky note?
How about arranging someone to get the car inspected by the insurance company?

I didn't think so. And by the general demeanor of your words on here, i bet you will say that you do in fact pack those things, when in reality your just another strong worded inbred from North Carolina.

Have a great new years all.
