Trunk doesn't want to close, unless i slam the thing...

    Anyone have this prob?

Not sure if the colder weather has anything to do w/ it, but anytime I try to close the trunk lid, it springs back up to me.

Takes about 3-4xs of slamming it to get it closed.

sounds like you should keep slamming the trunk if you want it to close.

Sounds like you need to adjust the part of the latch on the lid down:

Slamming it will only make it worse. Think of the 100's of times the trunk has been opened and closed. Over time the latch moves and you need more force to make it work. As stated already, adjust the latch.

My trunk does this when it get cold as well. I found that the grease in the lock mechanism get really thick with the cold temperatures a slamming it doesn't help. Mine latches easily if I close it and HOLD it down for an extra second. Try that !!

Just slam it REALLY hard. It will adjust itself.
