Does anybody know anything about Saabs? (or recommendations for a 2nd car)

Even though I'm a fan of both Saabs and Subarus, that 9-2 just rubs me the wrong way. It's as if GM was trying so hard to save the brand so they begged Subaru for the impreza and slapped on some Saab badges. Still, it's not as bad as the SUV Saab that's also a GMC.

But today we've discussed our options and i pretty much talked her out of Saab. It was easy, considering i told her we could get an e30 vert.

Still, I would consider e28's and e24's as well.

We are also still considering a Forester, not for the AWD, but the cargo space. I will be working with a guitar company based in Humbolt county and may have to make frequent trips up and down the coast to pick up multiple guitars. Not much trunk space in the e30. (maybe it's time for a Touring)

I don't know what you're talking about. I can fit my 2x 10" sub box, amp, clothes, duffel bag, blankets, a few pairs of boots & shoes, motor oil, coolant, toolbox, and 144 beers in the trunk.

Although, I suppose I'd have trouble fitting guitars in there. touring +1

A friend of mine now has over 200k in a 95 Accord with zero issues. Like the other guy said, change the fluid on a regular basis and you're golden. Also, take into account that the Accord will be 10x easier to sell than a Saab. Not to mention it'll hold it's value better as well.

Yea, like 10 guitars at once. Forester. Plus, why put 1,400 miles on the e30 once a month going up to Humbolt?

my buddy has a 97 2.0T saab, "slightly modded" from what I can tell:
              pos
              handles like horse drawn carriage
              horrible seat positions
              awful convex steering wheel
              stupid key in center console
              uglier than amc pacer

              But,

              booooooooooosttttt
blowing away rice boys in dsms: makes up for everything
I don't think your mom appreciates the value of those modifications
