    Video of my car in action.

    A bunch of people have been asking me for video/audio of my car in action, so I went out with Josh tonight and fucked around.

    Here is the result of my brief and halfhearted effort to appease the masses.

    For what its worth I will be switching to urethane engine and transmission bushings once I get down to Texas. Even with brand new OE units it can be troublesome to nail 2nd when you are in a hurry. Worse yet is downshifting while there is a good deal of lateral load on the drivetrain. In the first clip its pretty obvious that I was unable to grab 2nd until letting up which kinda made the spinning into 2nd shorter lived then desired. Normally I have no problem hitting 60 still spinning and gripping into 3rd.

    Also launching (with the intend of a quick takeoff) with the solid unsprung clutch is still taking some practice to get right. Anything less then 1800rpm and it wants to just stall outright. Anything over 2k and it just wants to spin. Whats shown in the second clip is a decent launch at best, but still pretty quick. Josh has a hard time doing anything resembling holding the camera still.

      What shifter do you have? I have a Z4 3.0L and 2nd is so hard to get into sometimes....plus, the shift knob falls often sometime when I go for it.

      cool sounds.

          Its the 1.9L Z3 shifter, and it is because the drivetrain shifts too much when its under load. Driving around without a hood confirmed this awhile ago.

          Urethane mounts will fix my problem.

          Also, the engine has 1,760 miles on it now. Only been driving it since April 13th, and I was away from the car on vacation 7 days between then and now. I drive too much I think lol.

                What is the first, digital gauge in your custom cluster?
                What brand gauges did you use?
                How did you disconnect your mpg meter?

                Man, that's nice Jordan. You just gotta love that power. :twisted: I can understand you puttin' all those miles on it in such a short time.

                  Yeah, the VDO dual pressure sender I have has a higher WK trigger then the stock unit. It comes on at idle on and off. Kind of annoying. The pressure sender was free though, and the right one for the gauge! So until I have the money to blow to buy the right pressure trigger for the stock idiot light I will live with it.

                    Autometer Air Fuel meter, VDO oil pressure, oil temperature, and voltage gauge.

                    Its not disconnected. Just getting flogged.

                              Got it. Nice vid too. The new motor really pulls well.....looks like 2nd gear is good to nearly 60mph. Any speculation on what 0-60 times might be now?
