    Early body style colors/pics

Maybe should be in another area, but to be honest, none of my posts seem to get any answers unless they're in here ;) And it is a general question, sort of.. :)

Almost time to pick a color for my 85 euro chassis. I was looking at calypso, or lazur blue, but I want to paint it in a color that was offered on the old body style. Dark colors are preferred. Blues, blacks, greys, etc. See if you can post your response with an example of an E30 wearing it. Thanks guys!

PS - it's burgundrot, and I really don't like it, so don't suggest that one :)

D-schwarz is black, right? Are there other black colors that were offered on early body styles? Is your sig pic a d-schwarz?

You'll have to forgive me, I'm...ahem...color challenged. Looks black to me...maybe a dark dark metallic grey.

I just didn't know there was more than one option of black for the early cars. Black is hard to keep clean and shows everything, too... :(

Lol, not quite clear, can you post your final answer? :)

Someone is bound to ask why, if I'm color blind, do I give a shit. Well, I can see some color, just can't tell the difference between some, like the blacks and different blues, etc. Besides, I'm not the only one looking at my car, hence why I'm asking others...they can see color better than I can :)

Post up a picture of your car so we can play with colors in Photoshop.

But then I'd just look like your car, sans the Alpinas.... :)

I like white. Looks great, your car is always one of my favorites. The action shot of you at an airfield is my desktop...

                            Hey,

While I can't say for sure if Lazur blue was offered in the older body style, I can certainly attest to how nice it can look. It is a great colour (like calypso as well) and at least it is a fair amount rarer than d-schwarz (not that I don't like black I just think it can be nice to have a more individual colour if you are respraying the whole car from the ground up).

I only have the one pic you can see in my sig of my car at the moment but I will try and get some more pics for you later if you would like to see them.

                            Let me know,

                            Pete

I think I like lazur blue enough to make the exception even if it wasn't offered on early models :) I just like that color way too much.

Get me some pics in some sun, and some night pics if you can, and what the OFFICIAL color is...

                              Thanks man!
