Getting a "free" M50 non-vanos....worth it?

    Looks like that's what I'm gonna end up doing :)

    Still trying to figure it out, are the M and S blocks and heads the same? If so, besides exorbitantly higher prices, what's stopping me from just building an S50 motor?

      It's possible if you were starting with an M50 Vanos block, but not non-Vanos.

          wrong way around, non-vanos block goes larger. for a full s50 you'd have to use a vanos head and a non-vanos block
