    whats with that distributor coming off the oil pump drive shaft?

    Well the early m20's that came on e21 323's had a distributor and ran L-jet fuel injection, that engine obviously isn't running L-Jet though. Where the fuck is that picture from?
    I mean that's an IX drivetrain... WTF?

            yea its a sweet pic. found it in an article on autoblog about 25yrs of bmw awd. maybe they just used an e21 m20 set up for that pic? i cant figure it out..

            its also got some weird looking bottle caps on it...

                    its definitely an e30 ix setup im just wondering if they used an e21 m20 as a mock up for this demonstration or something? maybe it was pre-production?

                    i cant find any bigger versions of it unfortunately :/

                            The iX didn't come out until '88, and by then the m20b25 had been around for about 2 years. But that seems like the most logical explanation

                            Looks like M3 to me. I think iX had standard sway bar end links.
