                  I thnik we got a winner here, there tires in this photo are the same as in the original post, the god awful Michelin TRX, I have never seen them on a 3 series before but it is a euro ad.

                    Yup same wheels, also makes sense that BMW would make a cutaway of the very first iX and not one two years later. Those sorts of drawings usually showcase something brand new.

                      ^Very much so. But that's not a drawing. That's a picture. They use to cut cars right now in half - even through the engine block, and polish them all up and put them on display. Very early '80s shit.
