wrong.. but in 88 you could ONLY get 2 doors (except canada and europe, they had 4 doors), every other year were both 2 and 4 door. BMW sold more 4 doors in NA than 2 doors, which is probably why you see them all the time.

I know a guy here in town that has a blue, 2-door, manual, plastic bumpered 325iX. He's owned it since new, and it came that way from the factory.

Don't believe me? I've seen the pictures of him with the car the day he picked up from the dealership in November or 1988.

that's because 4 door ixs look a whole lot better than 2 door ones
