Sucks dude, and as much as it sucks seeing e30 like that it's probably peanuts compared to the hassle of replacing your personal belonings / documents / laptops.....

Was the door lock/ignition locks damaged, have you looked at it carefully, did the cops take fingerprints?

Wow, I'm sorry. Thats really upsetting to see what they did to your car. I hope that your insurance is able to cover it and the valuables you lost. I'd say keep the shell if its as clean as it looks and slowly source parts until you can build it back up to where it was.

You guys do know that if a thief wants your car, they will steal it regardless of what theft deterrent you have on it. It may take a little longer but an hour was plenty of time for the OPs car to be stolen :(

Well it seems that all of your eyes were for not. The East LA Sheriff called me today to tell me they found the car and this is all that was left.

All of my personal belongings are gone, as well as most of the mods. I'm probably just going to let this one go.

Alright man, I understand that while it is depressing seen all of your hard work go to some schmuck, you have to do a little detective work yourself. From what I can tell, the wheels went to a Honda, look at the wheel that has been used to keep your shell rolling, unless the tow truck driver did that., also the rest of the body is salvageable as mentioned above and you can have that color interior again in no time. The is lip looks to be in good condition, which leads me to believe, that the thieves knew nothing about the car and were just looking for replacement parts for another e30 owned by a poseur and fresh wheels for another car. How's the engine on that car?, don't give up man just get your self back up and keep on trucking.

I will still keep my eyes open for your stuff as the ESM wheels are bound to turn up.

How much are the fees to get the car out of the pound?

ill make sure to keep a eye out. i live around the area and on CL most of the day at work. i know how it feels to have some asshole take something you've worked hard on. hope at least the shell turns up..... as bad as that sounds.
