I detail cars and have gotten so many customers saying the dealer put on permaplate and they were convinced it lasts 2 years.

well, I have permaplate products, and it is just a pretty good wax/sealant. lasts 2 months tops...

I really feel sorry for the people that would actually pay $600 for this crap.

Tell your salesman to put some Cilajet on his dick. He won't have to rub it ever.

[Jerry and an irate customer argue over a sealant that the customer had previously indicated he didn't want, after Jerry has gone off to pretend to talk to his boss]
Jerry Lundegaard: Well, we've never done this before. But seeing as it's special circumstances and all, he says I can knock a hundred dollars off that Trucoat.
Irate Customer: [stunned that Jerry still intends to charge him for something he didn't order] One hundred... You lied to me, Mr. Lundegaard. You're a bald-faced liar. A... fucking liar.
Irate Customer: [to his wife, frustrated] Where's my goddamn checkbook? Let's get this over with.

Also again I did not purchase this product. I just wanted to know what you guys thought about this. This was the first time I heard of the product.

the worst part is people want to keep their cars in good condition, and then they believe salespeople when they tell them this 'special coating' will last x amount of time (usually a ridiculous number), so then they rarely clean their cars.

some of these people have brought their cars to me after say 2 years (what dealer said coating would last) and the paint looks like nearly 2 years of neglect... so like shit to say the least.

I went to my local BMW Dealer to make a new addition to the family. My fiance bought a 2008 X3 Sport Package. As we spoke to financial rep he spoke about this new product Cilajet. Basically it resists stains, dirt, grease, bird dropping etc.. it protects against corrosion. Also bonds to paint reducing imperfections such as fading, scratches etc. He said you will never have to wax again. The BMW Heavens has sent us a gift guys. I admittedly asked him can this be done to E30's. He replied yes. I rejoiced. "YES YES YES THERE IS A BMW GOD" LOL I asked him how much. he said $600. Not f***ing bad. I could not believe it. Here is a link to the product. Tell me what you think.

We think that you're the kind of people we tell other people about so that they stay away from salesmen at dealerships.

This was about a product that BMW had. I wanted feed back on product cause i never heard of it. I owned my own dealership lot. So as far as making deals on prices of cars I do my homework just as everyone should. Also this was not the sales person per say it was the finance department guy, which I will say was steaming due to the price I got the car for. So again that is why I asked about this product. Know that I know its garbage thanks all. I am glad I did purchase it :D

When will people understand that extra aftermarket warranties and paint protection offers are scams. If a dealer doesn't make enough money in a very competitive market, it will try to make some by selling paint protection or extra warranties. And people bite.
