BTW A detailed storyboard will be your friend. Time every single shot in advance. Then decide if you need to cut or extend. I used to work with a storyboard artist who would make precise drawing in order to fill-in. Then from the drawings you can make a little QuickTime movie. This will be basically your end result. Just shoot to get better images...

8 minutes is quite long but if you can pull it off with good content...should not be an issue. No need to apologize this is all relevent...I am 100% commited to the yuppie outfit. Just need to figure out how it will color coordinate with the cars and models ;)

I wouldnt show the dude in the film but rather see it from his POV. The viewer can experince the movie like they're actually IN the movie. It can start with him waking up in the morning, putting on his r3v t-shirt and getting out to the garage and jump in his whip. The storyline can be about how "everyday is a journey when riding in an MTech II". He then goes to pick up his SuicideGirl. She gives him a BJ for having an E30, of course. Haha. But whatever you do, have a start, a middle, and an end (climax).

Music: 80s Hip Hop like NWA, Public Enemy.

SickRide...I can dig it! I really like the POV idea, the r3v shirt is cool to. I am def putting in a plug for r3v in this so just need to gather everyones ideas on it. The BJ part haha...I'll save that one for a future film, which will focus more on the cast instead of the cars LOL... thanks for the ideas, keep them coming!!

i would use a bunch of what lee said, except i would have him driving by a bunch of socal landmarks. get in the film what makes the lifestyle the lifesyle. use the yuppie outfit and all, but at the end he should be pulling up to work, at say a starbucks and he leaves all of his yuppie stuff in the back and puts on his apron.

Here's a challenge...try and make a film that makes non-E30 people understand why E30 people piss away $thousands on a 20+ year old car.

In search of talent now. Must be female, legal, have firm breasts and not object to a nude scene. Anyone has a sister that fits the profile? OP can offer instant fame...

                            1. Storyboard, everything. Do it well.
                            2. Would-be porn stars will fuck on camera for a box of Altoids. Should have no problem getting a simple nude scene done.
                            3. Drama is difficult to manufacture, but the elements are suspense, timing, conflict and climax. Write the film "plot" and blend day and night scenes in order. Maybe have the protagonist start the day with a check under hood, going to work, then out for an evening of ... (hey, Im not the writer or director, do your own work.. LOL).
                            4. Maybe though, have the protag end up at a e30 "meet" or some other vehicle event and everyone digs on the e30 hard, even though there are other examples of baller rides all around. Get the point across, the e30 is "special".
                            5. Ending scene the protag and the hot chick up at lovers lane and all the windows are fogged up, or her feet are sticking up out the back of the car. If you use a coupe or sedan, in the fogged up window glass write out... ( I heart my e30).

Good luck with this project. Its a must see for sure!!!!... Git er dun!!

Definitely this, there are far more fun cars to drive, but they are far more expensive. Start the off within an expensive car dealership Ferrari, Lambo, the easily identifiable super cars. Then show the E30, show why it is better for the people, yes it is cheaper, but it has a heritage(DTM), it has a community (E30 Pinic for example) easy to get too involved for a do-it-yourselfer, people use the car for the Lemons, track days, autox, drift, rally(Bill Caswell is a good example).

I think the most important part is the people behind the car, and how it was the car that brought them together in the first place.
