Will a mountain bike fit in an E30?

I have a 4-door with rear seats that don't fold down. Will my 17" mountain bike fit in there? It's a Kona Dawg FWIW.

I have to pick up my car today and I'd rather bike it there than take a cab, if I can get the bike home.

Sure it will, the trunk alone should be big enough to carry everything if you take the wheels off.

are you planning on doing this often? cause its a pain in the ass whichever direction you go. You scratch the shit out of your bike, and can screw parts up.

Go get a trunk rack if your ever planning on doing this again.

I have used one for years, as long as your not an idiot they work just fine.

I have a 21 inch frame, I can take off the front wheel and seat and it fits in the back seat just fine.

With out wheels mine fit in the trunk or back seat, medium frames and only front suspension x-country types. My road bikes fit like a jiffy.

take off both wheels and put a towl on the seat before putting the bike in..also put one around the handlbars to protect the window.

Dude, my paint looks like hell

I don't plan on doing it often, I just want to pick up my car from the shop and get a ride in at the same time. 2 birds / one stone, etc. I'm fat and need the exercise.

Mine will fit minus wheels and bars. It's big though.

just this past week i began to try to fit a mountain bike into my coupe that i wanted to bring from my mom's place. i took off the front wheel and it seemed like a lot of work and frustration after putting half the bike in, so i gave up and borrowed the suv instead. but it's good to know that it's possible in case I need to transport it in the future. anyone know where i can get a roof rack at the best price?

Both wheels off, it fit in the trunk with a little finagling. Bike, both wheels, trunk closed easily! I wouldn't make a habit of it but it sure beats taking a cab to Castro's!

I did it once. Both wheels off, bike shoe-horned in. I will never do it again though, its such a pain in the junk.
