Solder station, Weller gun that I got when I was a kid, Weller iron and butane iron. Wick, solder sucker and some of the good old solder that I find at garage sales. My brother taught me how to solder when I was a kid. Fun stuff that comes in handy seeing that I prefer not to use connectors unless needed.

    Cheers,

    Jim

Yea some fancey ones since used to install mod chips and fix big tv's from CL when I was bored, now I just use it for E30 joy. Also I run MegaSquirt, if you own MS and have not used or own a soldering iron that is just wrong on so many levels...

Only used a soldering iron for wiring guitars, that's about the extent of my skills.

I have a few. At last count, A 200W gun, a 100/120W gun, a weller jr, and a 25w pen. I'm sure there are more, and I have a few external heat soldering devices as well. They old. Real old.

My favorite is phos-copper though. Solder joints < solid copper (N/A to circuitry, i know, I know)

I blew a resistance when tuning the DC offset on my Yamaha P2200 yesterday. The screwdriver slipped...

Will need to remove a few other components and check if they still read good. I just purchased a spare P2200 for parts anyway. I shall have three of them. Hopefully all working, one day. Those suckers are 30 years old and still running very strong. 230wpc of high fidelity.
