Anyone here own an e30 333i?

Being from S.A. and hearing of these mysterious creatures, makes me really want one, esp. due to their exclusivity and high price.

consideirng many were destroyed after the S.A. police force was done with them, they command prices much higher than that of e30 m3's


anyone here have any stories/info on them?

You're talking about stock e30 333i's from the factory? They are uber rare, if they even exist anymore. Why don't you just make one yourself with an e32or e34 m30 engine?

A 333i is nothing more than an old version m30. Just swap a newer 3.5L m30 and call it a day. I have a writeup that describes just that :)

Actually all a 333i is is a Alpina B6 with a 3.2 rather than a 3.5 and all exterior Alpina badging was removed by BMW SA (including the wheel cap badges).

As far as I know the cops here never used them, they were built for Group 1 racing, which was abandoned before the cars were built.

Cool cars yeah! Rare yeah! Would I buy 1? No, That M30 makes it a pig and it's not even quicker than our 325iS which came with a 2.7lt (this was a Alpina B3 engine).

Pretty cool. Looks like they got the 265/5 dogleg trans, and the B32 was a little more potent in SA: 191hp and 210lbs-ft.
