Question about white E30's

I heard that the white E30's dont have a clear coat..and that somehow its easier to maintain..can anyone confirm this??

Figured I'd ask the E30 community directly!!

Yeah, I think the solid non-metallic early E30s had no clear coat. I know mine doesnt, and its Alpin-weiss I. Its an '86.

I know James Crivellone and mine both have clearcoat cause it's peeling. His is early model and mine is late so that covers Alpine White I and II.

You are right, none of the metallic early colors had a clear. My henna doesn't either! :)

im just saying trying to confirm what i have heard.. lol i didnt say it was chipped into stone
