Not sure if I agree. I replaced a trailing arm on the side of the road in 105 degree heat, and while i sweated my ass off, it's much better than working in 10 degree weather with cold metal tools, little dexterity, and always breaking plastic pieces.

heat is annoying, cold is painful . the brake pedal in my 911 was frozen solid the other morning . It was 17 degrees F and that was not fun unfreezing while making myself late for work.

I think these guys are talking about weather much colder than 40-60. I was working on my car this week in a single digit snow storm at night..........But thats the only time I have to do it..

What works well for interior/certain areas of the car is to get a small space heater, I have one from a farm's milk room. Heats up small spaces quite nicely!

I want to kill myself everytime I need to work outside but I've done it, I installed my rear shock mounts when it was 5 degrees F and I was working at night with a small mag lite. It was so cold that the air inside my compressor started to freeze.

The worst I have ever dealt with was helping my dad once(he owns his own business of on-th-road diesel repair) to get 10 new tires on a customers Freightliner during a blizzard, high wind, freezing temperatures, and snow that feels like tiny razor blades, fml.

If lucky, the E36 will die peacefully, in its natural habitat, and be given the prestigious honor of donating its parts to an E30
