I had this problem too couldnt pass smog but got some hooks ups to get the car passed. Alot of people in so cal who own cars with swapped imported engines do this GTR's from japan and what not. Had to slip extra money but it wasnt like I needed to get it smogged every year.

octane booster will make it worse. Find the shittiest gas and get your engine temp supa hot.
