Weird e30 in "500 Days of Summer"

I did an audible "what the fuck?" when I saw this one. It appears to be an early model coupe or sedan with a plastic bumper conversion. I see e30's in movies all the time. If you watch Eyes Wide Shut, there is even a red e30 m3. It's no big deal usually, but this one is just bizarre. Did a r3v member donate their car for use in this movie?

It's quite possible that people outside of the realm of R3VLimited, forums and the intarwebs have done plastic bumper swaps to an E30.

I guess, I just can't imagine a non-enthusiast doing it and then to see it in a movie is really random.

          Nah, euro bumpers are smaller.

It just looks skinnier because that pic is squashed.

Thats what I thought also. Plastic bumpers appear taller, no?

Either the badge placement is wrong or the "es" is missing from 325es.

                            Noticed that too.

I saw one the other day with the 325 badge on the left of the trunk deck pretty much sitting on the lip.

I agree with everything everyone has said so far, and thus, and so forth....
