Hey at least I used the "search" feature.
There's a company in Canada, called Willz.ca, and they import Euro cars into the US/Canada, and even US/Canada cars to Europe. They have a website that explains some of this. Call up Will Zaraska if you need a more in-depth explination. The import fees on my brother's 1995 Euro 3.8l N'gring M5 were about $11k or so. The cool thing was that the importer let us keep all the old parts. So, bumpers went back on, gauges, all German text instruments/computers, etc... Importing these cars are not cheap. For the price you pay to have a "euro" whatever, you could buy and supercharge/turbo an e36 M3. Plus, parts are sick. My bro just paid out the ass for EDC 3 front shocks. It was over $1500 for 2 shocks. No springs, no nitrogen bulbs, just the damn shocks.

Yes Im aware of the costs, and do know a LOT about the dreaded EDC replacement. The only problem is, that this car wasnt sold here and is VERY expensive to replicate. Plus they are very rare. Its not only a Euro version, its a euro only that isnt easy to replicate fully. I hope they let me keep the euro parts as well. Thank you for your help. Did your brother have to buy the car on his own from Europe and THEN contact the importer to help him bring it? Thanks

The car was purchased in Europe, and then a RI was contacted when the car was shipped. It's amazing how cheaply (relatively) you can buy a Euro 3.8l M5 (either sedan or touring) over there. The killer is the federalization fees.

Thanks, but no. Im not buying a junker of what I want to import. That makes no sense whatsoever. Trust me.

the touring you mean? If so, yes it's mine, thank you for the kind words. I've been in love with them since I first found out they existed, and had to forgo an e30 m3 in order to get it. But it's worth it, I love the car and hope to get an e30 m3 in the next few years
