Two of the most recognizable individuals in drifting left D1GP Japan. I dont know how many of you are into D1, but this is definitely a big deal.
Sad day for D1 fans.

i don't know much about drifting, but i read the article in the link.
is that a legit source?
the reason i ask is the author mentioned working from an office, which would make me think it was fairly legit, but like most other internet blog sites his grammar and spelling were a complete joke, which made it seem like reading a r3v thread. (especially one from a user in CA)

Tsuchiya is a pretty awesome race car driver (he raced in the JTCC) check out his touge and Tsukuba 5 lap battles from Best Motoring on youtube. He also happens to be an awesome drifter too as he was one of the Judges for the D1 series.Comment

The best thing to happen for drifting in Australia was when the DA series died. Opened doors for more grass roots drifting events to take place.
Note. DA = Drift Australia, big budget teams with big sponsors etc.Comment

I don't like watching drifting or supporting it simply because it reminds me to much of Fast and Furious, which then makes me think about kids who think you can drift in a FWD civic. This then makes me so angry I have to go and hurt some kids in their civic at the Macca's carpark to make me feel better.
I also don't like drifting because it has too many douch bags competing and or following it!
Oh and then people go and do stupid shit like this
