How about a GMC Typhoon? The Typhoon was capable of accelerating from 0-60 mph in 5.3 seconds and could do a quarter-mile run in 14.1 seconds at 95 mph (153 km/h). They made 4,700 of 'em in the early 90's.
One morning on the way to school I followed one of these for a bit, pretty cool to recognize one for the first time. I think I'd like to find one of these style blazers/jimmys instead of the more popular Jeep Cherokee, drop in a V8, and completely modernize the suspension and use as a hauler/tow vehicle... like I can afford a fraction of the things I want...
How about this beast? Mercedes W196 grand prix car, the only one to have competed (successfully) in F1 with full fenders. Made famous by the unbelievable Juan Manuel Fangio.
Also, it's too bad the XJ13 (green one-off above) didn't make it into production; too much foot-dragging over at Jaguar.
"It never raced, and only one was ever produced. The car has not been officially valued, but a £7 million bid for it was declined by the owners in 1996."
It doesn't get more rare than that..

E30 M3 Europameister. Not the most powerful E30 M3, but definitely rare with only 148 made. The name itself is pretty fun. How would you like to say "Why, yes, it's mine, and it's a very special edition Europameister M3!"
