My pops bought the US version brand new for my mom in 1986 for $36000. I still remember it parked diagonally in our garage with a big red bow on the roof.

Cool-story-bro-time, our design history class was taught at the Torino Auto Museum by the curator. I saw this car and started drooling, commented to the curator that it must feel awesome to sit in. He said “you want to?” I said “You can do that?” To which he replied, “Sure, it’s my car!”

How about a GMC Typhoon? The Typhoon was capable of accelerating from 0-60 mph in 5.3 seconds and could do a quarter-mile run in 14.1 seconds at 95 mph (153 km/h). They made 4,700 of 'em in the early 90's.
