Before this season started it would of disagreed with you guys hating on Vettel but after watching the three drivers interviews from this season he is starting to come off as an arrogant prick.

thank you! this is what I've been saying all along. I really liked him when he was still modest (before last year's run). But now he's turned into a prick who thinks he should be given every win. I group him along with Alonso in terms of attitude but it's to the point where I almost like Alonso more than him now.

We need more button, hamilton, raikkonen, barrichello-type drivers who don't behave like pricks and aren't sore losers.

What did he say in the driver's interviews that was arrogant? He seemed actually happy to be there and didn't have anything bad to say, the worse thing he said was they were probably on the wrong strategy.

The fact that you group Hamilton in there in drivers who aren't pricks or sore losers is laughable. The guy routinely yells at his team over the radio about how shitty the strategy is or the car is.

I guess the way you're blind to Vettel's bitch fits I'm blind to Hamilton's. At least to me, he always comes off as really calm and mellow in post race interviews.

As for Vettel, there's a few times where he displayed his attitude I have him pegged for; the instance I remember most is last year with the front wing, when he bitched and complained to horner until he got newey's newly designed wing instead of webber. If I remember correctly I think Vettel broke his and somehow he got the other wing even though it was assumed that one was for webber.

I really do wish I didn't hate him because he does seem to be a great driver but I can't get past his overall demeanor.

Its not so much what Vettel said just that he seems to hog the post race interviews with long winded/rambling comments about the race. Its almost as if the FIA needs some music to play him off stage.

Why do I get the feeling that the FIA is encouraging more detailed race recap from the drivers' perspectives, post-Kimi?

I do agree it went on too long, and I don't know why the person asking the questions asked him back to back questions when it is supposed to be one for each of them and then back to the winner.

I am the same way for Hamilton. I don't doubt his ability, his attitude just rubs me the wrong way.

I know it's been said, but............Webber......my 2nd fav driver of all-time, what an incredible drive. Just insane.

What an amazing start to the season. Webber is really showing his guts, although it looks like they need to spend a bit more time on Quali setup somehow.

RB needs to get their KERS sorted, if both cars had functioning kers they may very well have had the 2 top steps. Either way, kudos to Weber for an incredible drive, its unfortunate he will always be a bridesmaid and never a bride, maybe Massa can teach him some coping skills.

I haven't read all of post but have you guys talked about the tires? They seem to be shit from pirelli tires. Alot of slag or marble build up if your off line, which sucks for passing even though they have the DRS & KERS.
About Vettel he has to be the best driver out there, and I didn't think he came off arrogant it's the reporters asking stupid ass questions. If you watch the laps from in-car camera of Vettel driving compared to everyone else, he is way smoother at entering the corners and exiting, you never see him lock his tires up and barley ever slide it out on corners. It's always about staying in contact with the road and carrying your speed through the turns which he does perfect, it's amazing. Plus having a great crew to set him up is always a big factor too.
As you hear teams crying about Red Bulls front wings being flexible (like last year for a few races) it's not at all. Like the head engineer said they run a lot more rate in the front which I'm assuming gets the car lower on braking and cornering for that extra down force. 1mm closer to road =approx. 1lb of DF.

I think Vettel does come across slightly arrogant, but in the same way that all of the best drivers do. They wouldn't be there if they didn't 'know' they deserve to be there.

I think the thing for me is Vettel never seems to be happy for someone else's achievements, he does the polite thing and shakes hands and probably says 'congrats' but he always seems to be wearing a pained expression on his face. I couldn't name many instances specifically, obviously, but most recently after the race in China he just shook Webber's hand after he'd driven from 18th to 3rd, with a grimace like he was expecting a 'I can't believe that one got away from you' in return, its not like Webber had beaten him so I think it wouldn't be too hard to be sincerely happy for his result. He seems to be very focused on just himself.

I don't doubt his ability, his Q3 efforts this year have been astounding, but I can't help wanting him to be beaten, but not by McLaren!

Also so it doesn't come across as though I'm just ragging on Vettel I do agree that Hamilton is the driver who comes across as the most whiny - with his complaining about his race strategy, botched pitstop or complaining about someone weaving, in his opinion, illegally trying to defend their position.

Not really an issue with pirelli quality, they were directed by the fia to make tires that wear quickly, and when tires wear they shed rubber creating clag. I do think they could turn it back a bit though because it does create a dangerous loss of grip when going off-line to pass. It does make a more engaging race to watch though.

^Exactly. They said each tire loses approx 3lbs of rubber during it's running.

So my thought on the marbles thing, instead of putting a "thick" layer of a compound with a fast wear rate, but a "thinner" layer of a more durable compound. So less marbles and such, but still get down to the "slippery" part of the tire quickly.

But, damn was China a good race.
