WTF Is A Notronic Controller? Help!

Ok so My Step Moms e30 is in the shop. Having starting problems after a brand new fuel pump starter whole new motor the whole nine yards. The problem was intermittent but soon grew to be worse. And one day wouldnt start at all. Had it towed to a shop after a few days and they told us it was a "Notronic Controller" exactly how he spelled it? Ever heard of one he started throwing out some outrageous numbers on brand new ones and used ones alike I was floored by his prices for something I had never heard of. Any one know anything about this "Notronic Controller"?

Hahahah yea he wrote an "N" But he has to be an inbread tard!

But if a Motronic controller is what he was implying a few suggestions on this, he (the mechanic) cant seem to get his hands on one going on 2 weeks of it at the shop now "just waiting on the part" lol i told him to just cancel the order and I would just find one myself.

          Suggestions?

It's in the glovebox, screwed to the underside of the top of the dash. Take out the little plastic trim panel that holds the glovebox light, and it's the big metal box with the bundle of wires going to it. Unscrew the four bolts holding it in, unclip the bundle of wires, and you're good to go.

                    holy crap!

for $900 you could buy a plane ticket for a r3v member on the other side of the country, have them bring an ECU, let them spend the 10 minutes it takes to swap them, and spend the rest on getting liquored up over the weekend.

I'm 90% sure I've still got a perfectly good Motronic controller for a 325i sitting in my garage. $50 if you want it (and I can find it). Heck, I'll even ship it for free as long as you don't live on the other side of the world or something.
