Compile a portfolio of pictures of people with hands cut off.
attach to the front a forged* ticket to saudi arabi. dated the next week.
have bags packed.
take her to airport.

Are you guys actually reading? I didn't degrade anyone, except myself perhaps by posting something personal in this forum....LOL!!

I have been reserved with my girl about this so far. We will sit down tomorrow and talk about it, now that she, and I, have had time to process the situation, and work it out.

She will be made to pay the consequences, whatever they may be and I expect it wont amount to degradation, demeaning comments or acts. I'd LIKE to have said, done a lot of things, in anger, but also in fear and concern for her character, or lack thereof; and her future criminal enterprise or violations.

I'd LIKE to ensure that there are no repeats of this behavior. That she continues to be a positive, productive person. As she usually is. I don't expect this to be understood by all but there is a time when "soft" skills require being not so soft. Love isn't always pleasant, nor are lessons that need to be learned.

I probably gave the wrong impression with my first post that prompted many questioning comments. I believe that impression has been corrected and those of you that don't get that, well. Bite me I guess.

I love my kid and thats why I don't give her a break on this. There is NO free pass on broken trust and broken laws.

glad you are handling this like a good parent, i'm only 25 and i can see that kid's now a days do NOT understand respect and morals... it's pathetic.



i remember when i worked security for target for a few years i had a couple of parents come to me telling me that their child had stolen something.

the two best times were one was a 5 or 6 year old boy who's mother came to me first telling me her son stole some gum at the checkout lane.. she told me to scream at him and tell him he was going straight to prison etc etc.. i told her i would do what i could and i had to explain to the kid with a straight face while he was crying about the consequences of stealing all while his mother was yelling at him lol. she thanked me and paid for the gum but i bet that kid would never steal again.


the other was a 14-15 year old girl who stole underwear and got home with it and er mother found out.. the next day her parents came in with HER money in hand ready to pay for the item and made the girl tell the whole story about how she stole it and why to me all while she was extremely embarrassed and crying. just like the other mother the parents made me threaten jail and told me to scare the shit out of her lol. that one was more funny to me than anything but it always puts a smile on my face to know there are still parents who show their kids respect and that there are consequences to their actions while other parents were using their kids to steal. working security in retail made me really see how pathetic and worthless some human beings really are...

Good point. I dont or didnt call her any names. I never would. I did ask her if she realized how stupid the ACT of stealing POS earrings is.

And for all you treehuggin pussies that have a problem with my discipline or post.... if you dont have kids, STFU. If you do have kids, keep them away from my neighborhood because no doubt they have no idea how to behave.

My dad has called much worse things than a 'bitch' for things much less than shop lifting, and i've turned out just fine.

I'm not saying i condone degrading kids with bad language, but even if the OP did say call his daughter a bitch for stealing i doubt it would ruin her life. Lets be honest, call a spade a spade. If it was me id say she was being a dumbass, moron, etc...

Kids these days are subjected to much worse things in school and other social settings than being called a bitch by a parent. Recently there have been teen suicides as a result of verbal and internet/text bullying. The hardest people on teens are other teens. If OP did call his daughter a bitch to her face(which he didnt) she would get a dose of the real world. People cant go through their lives in a bubble and then be thrown into the 'real world' where others will call them whatever they want with no disregard for their feelings.

I'm sure that however much work and money it takes her to fix the damaged cars will more than learn her a lesson. Sure she might be pissed off now, but in the long run she will be much better for it.

If she is going to do something stupid in the future she will remember how much it sucked to fix her dads cars and probably/hopefully not do something dumb.
