    Dave Farnsworth has an interesting commentary on this very topic along the lines of what I was talking about if anyone wants to read it. Its in the February 2011 Roundel. Its called "The Total Loss Department" to prove Im not the only naive one. jk ;)

        Good news! By not responding to them for about two months they bumped up the value by $1500. This will pay off my current 30 so I guess its a lesson learned.
