I think it's not that bad looking, however it is pretty pointless.
But I love the X6 so I have a different taste I guess.
What they did to the 6 series is unforgivable though:

I think its one of the ugliest and pointlessly concieved cars ever built. And that includes the Pontiac Aztec. It further erodes my faith in modern BMWs. Yet another "answer to a question no one asked" moved by BMW, IMO.

we have a 550i GT at my school, its an amazing car, the sticker price is around 70K, twin turbo v8 and enough room for a family, its amazingly quick for its size as someone mentioned

Right before Bangle was fired. It'll make a good camper once it depreciates to zilch and you can shop off the roof.

The real question is why they released it in a V8/RWD only configuration. Who the hell would buy that? They were out for quite a while like that (although they did get around to fixing that problem).
