I don't know about in the NE, but in the PNW you can't drive a block without seeing an Imprezza Hatch or a VW TDI of some flavor. I work with three people that either own or are in the process of buying Jetta TDI's, something that in the European market competes directly with the 330d.Comment

Except for 58% of audi A3 buyers in the US that go for the TDI.
/PRNewswire/ -- After the best first quarter in the brand's history, Audi today maintained its 2010 momentum with record April sales in the U.S. For the month,...
And 81% of Jetta wagon buyers that also go for the TDI.

Your links are correct but VW/Audi owners a3/jetta owners are typically a different demographic that buys bmw. Bmw's history of hatch's have not sold well; bmw maybe giving up on a lot of there history but they don't forget losing money.Except for 58% of audi A3 buyers in the US that go for the TDI.

But how many people are buying Jetta wagons in the first place?
In 2009 VWOA sold 108k jettas... only 18k were wagons. That means 16% of Jettas sold in America are wagons.
Similarly, of Passats sold, 9k were sedans, 24k were CCs, and only 2k were wagons. So 6% of all Passat sales are wagons.
Also, only 16k Golf/GTI/R32s sold- 8k if you exclude the popular sport models. Compared to 90k jetta sedans.
Lastly, ill look at all the people that that buy family cars (wagons/minivans/suvs). 20k wagons sold compared to 189k other family car styles.
Yes subarus are popular everywhere, but back east, TDIs are a rare sight.Originally posted by george gravesIs that Hitler having a Juicy Juice in your avatar?Originally posted by Raxeyes :(Originally posted by Wh33lhopI FUCKING LOVE JUICE. aComment
