Opinions on an audi 80 (its my sis's new car dont flame)

My sis just got here license and picked up an old audi 80 for a couple hundred bucks. Im going to help her fix it up as its got a fuel injection problem then were taking things from there. Anyone know stuff about these cars? Are they reliable? Theyre real light and the engine bay is just beggin for a 1.8t motor, with that, that car would scream.

Audi's are great cars, and usually pretty reliable. The only drawback about them is that when parts do need replacing, they are some of the most expensive of any european car.

A good durable car if properly cared for. I like some of the older Audi cars....especially the Ur Quattro Coupe and the Quattro 4000CS sedan. Good performers in any weather.

Very true. My last car, an '87 Audi 5000s was a great beater, could take on anything, but really rough on the wallet when it came to fixing it. As for Audi 80's, they look good and can be a bit modded and look great.

http://www.80tq.com/ Check that for some simple stuff to make it hot. Of course it's your sisters, but my sister modded her Saab 900 S until she crashed it.
