What do you think about these wheels? 16"=13.5lbs

I found these wheels looking for Spoon SW388 wheels. They come in our lug pattern, and our offset is available but I had to call.

Completa tu look con accesorios tradicionales: cinturones, horquillas, bolsos y calzado diseñados especialmente para usar con hanfu y trajes antiguos.

They are Rota Slipstreams. They are forged, and for a 16X7 weigh 13.5lbs. 15X7 is 11.2lbs and 15X6.5 is like 11lbs even...its really sick how light and cheap they are.

Those are awesome rims, very strong and lightweight. I think TJ (Digitalwave) was going to get those for his car at one point.

ah, there's a shopping cart.. $125 each for 16x7, not bad.. makes me wonder a bit about the quality though.

They're too Honda -esque for me, but for that weight and price that's not too bad. There are ebay auctions for those wheels for $480 shipped, no tires.

You will need hubcentric spacers since the centerbore is made for Hondas which is different from BMW's, and the spacers would have to be 15mm....

If you really want a nice rim going this route, Rota makes a Volk replica of the T377 or something of that sort...they are just as nice, not too "Honda" style, and weigh 14lbs too. $480 shipped off ebaymotors....check that joints out. Might go this route myself.
                Reminiscing...

those are def light wheels, but they are all horrible looking and belong on a Honda

I differ on the horrible looking theory. I don't find deep dishes, stretched tires, and small wheels attractive...im very American. I do think your car is gorgeous in its own respect. Just not my style. I am also a huge fan of function before looks. I would rather have a crappy looking wheel that weighs 8lbs than a really nice 20lb wheel. I think that they have good lines, and for $500 bucks its a damn good price. I called about them, and they said they use the exact same manufacture that Spoon uses for their wheels that cost 530/each. They are 1 peice forged wheels.

The TE37 replica's are pretty shotty. I have seen them in person on a Prelude. The are cast and weigh more than me. That was Rota's first copycat wheel. It may be different now.

who the hell told you rota's are forged? The spoons/regamasters that rota copied are forged, but the rotas are most definately cast, and not that light compared to the genuine wheels. 8lbs is way off for the rotas as well. I think you're just a little bit confused between the replica and the real deal here wes...no offense of course.

                        Rob,

I honestly know nothing more than what these guys told me when I called. The wheel is 13.5lbs, I was just making a statement. The sales rep I talked to said that Rota uses the same company to make their wheels as Spoon uses. He clearly told me they were a 1-piece forged. I asked him twice...I can't imagine a forged wheel selling for 125/each but he assured me.

yeah that guy is full of shit, who was it so i know not to use them? They are relatively light for a cast wheel, but not especially strong. Cheap though.

i had the same style wheels on my civic hatchback. I don't think they're ugly. you'll pay a lot of money for the necessary spacers though, so you might as well get something more suiting.
