Seriously considering putting an offer on this car, what do you think?

i hate my 88is's metal bumpers and I'm just overall bored with it. I've considered doing an engine swap, but the price and labour has me doubting it. BUT if I can find a swapped car that's been sorted out....now THAT'S something I'd consider

what do you think of it?

Umm, that car's got metal bumpers....

And I don't see it being worth $8900.

Make him an offer but I'll bet he won't take much less.

I don't like that it doesn't have the stock engine management for a stock motor.

I know they're euro bumpers, but they're metal too......just a different metal and a completely different look than DB's.

Car seems overpriced to ME, but if the OP likes it, then I say drop the seller an offer and see what happens.

                  Euro bumpers>plastic bumpers>diving boards.

He states in the ad that he has 22k into it. It sure sucks when you have to sell a project car like that, no way he'll get a fraction of went into it back.

I'm sure you all want this car for what, 3k?

Cheap asses, it has Euro bumpers, 5 lug, and a m30 swap; a majority of you which want but refuse to pay to play because r3v is cheap.

I was thinking more like $1500 shipped, plus a free BJ to go with it.

                      But I'm open to negotiation.

                        um, what??

whether or not we are cheap asses, it is still not worth ~$9k.

And nope, I don't want it, even if it was $3k. imho, late model plastics >> euro bumpers. That's right ladies. Also, and M30 is heavy as shit, and doesn't make the power of say, an S50. And S50 swapped late model E30s that are just as clean go for about that price, and are lighter, better looking, and faster.

It's not about anyone being "cheap".

If you are not cheap, why don't you display your ability to spend by buying my bone stock 318is for $5k? I'd be more than obliged to sell...

You're dumb. An m30 weighs LESS than an s5x.

I'm not saying that I'd pay $9k for that car but price out the 5 lug and the m30 swap plus a clean shell why don't you, it adds up fast.

You guys are right, plastic bumpers are better. Also, everyone knows they are a money pit.

Depends on the look you are going for, plastic bumpers look the most modern. I don't mind looking classic therefore euro bumpers are my fav.

OP I would try to contact the seller to learn more about the car and make an offer from there, leave ebay out of it if possible. If he knows you are an enthusiast (and maybe you can feel him out as one or not) you could try to strike a deal in person.... .i.e. The phone.
