first BMW was rushing to produce their 4.5L V12 because Mercedes just released their V12, they where having issues getting the car to market so instead added a turbo to the M30 3.5 to compete with Mercedes and their V12 but left the project name 745i. By the time the V12 came to market it was 5.0L and called the 750i.
Second most grey market cars had the exhaust systems modified upon arriving to the states to make them now US legal. My M635CSI was actually a pathetic single exhaust with a cat when I bought it.
Third, I think our new friend learned his lesson about making sure a car is fit to drive at speed and more importantly making sure the driver is fit to drive that speed.
