I'd give $4500 and tell him to have the motor out by the time I got there. That looks all sorts of AIDS.

This guy obviously doesn't have (or doesn't want to spend) the money necessary to make this car right.

Most likely he blew the S14 or he bought it without an engine.

Agreed. I would rather buy it with a blown S14 then an M50. The car would have much more value after it is repaired.

          E30 M3 with rebuilt S14 = $

          E30 M3 with M50 = Paperweight (relatively speaking)

just scrolled through the pics, that car looks like absolute ASS. Also, why are the front wheels blatantly un-centered in the wheel wells?

I am willing to bet it's not an M3, but some poor E30 that got some ghetto fenders glued on.

Sure I'll get blasphemy'd for it, but a Vanos M50 in that car is gonna be just as quick if not quicker than a stock S14. Knock it down to 5k or so and it's a halfway decent track toy.

All M3s have color matched bumpers. Are you talking about the lack of a black tape line? I'm assuming whomever repainted those bumpers was too lazy to put it back on. They did at least shave the plate mount off the front bumper.

In support of this comment: Perhaps the funky caster is a result of a body kit on a regular 30 with stock e30 cabs.

The bumpers are wrecked - the front looks like a replica. The whole car has been painted half assed...

It could still be a reasonable deal, but I don't know that I would go out of my way to look at it.

if that was anywhere near me i would buy it right now.
sure it is not %100 but at this point my chances of picking up a m3 for under $20,000 are quite low.
i would sell my 2002 and all my m20 swap parts and invest it back into this thing.

That car looks like a ratty M3 that used to be for sale around here. It had some collision damage to the front end but was suprising solid albiet nasty inside/ out.

What a travesty. I mean hell a stock S14 makes the same HP as a VANOS M50TUB25 (192HP SAE on both). And I'm not buying the "cost's more to rebuild the S14" argument. Yes S14 components are more expensive on the balence than M50 parts, but that is offset by the fact that the M50 has 6 of everything compared to 4 on the S14. Then to go and hack the swap...

The light at the end of the tunnel is that with a S14 swapped back into it, it would make a good candidate for a track-rat.

Looks like a great buy for a non-purist who's considering a swap and who has bodyworking skills. The zero rust, authentic m3 shell and suspension alone makes it a $5k easily. This assumes a clean title. This car isnt stripped.

All you need is an S5x and you're golden. Seriously, non-rep M3 e30s are becoming increasingly had to find. Would be nice for someone to inspect it.

im willing to bet the car was a real M3. considering it has the correct back seat and correct roof line. the guy that built this has no attention to detail as evidenced by the sh*tty rat's nest engine bay. so with those looking correct, it was an M3 that got murdered. what a POS, it would be worth more as a rolling shell.
