To keep my e30, or get a new one?

Hey r3v guys! anyways, I've been a long-time lurker and finally made an account. I previously owned a Delphin 1984 318i, but it was totalled after I was rear-ended ): Being 17, I don't have much money, but I was dead-set on getting another e30. After a while of shopping, I moved into my 1986 325e Zinnoberrot Sedan. Anyways, this car has a lot of stuff wrong with it and I don't know if it's worth fixing up, or if it would be easier to move into a nicer e30. The car has been a WI/MN car it's entire life, and is fairly rusted. The underbody is rusted quite a bit, the read driver wheelarch is rusted, the eS valence on the front is cracked, the seats are ripping, and a few more things. My question is if I should keep this e30 and put the money (and care into bringing it to good condition, or would I be better off buying a rust-free e30 instead and A) selling my 325e, or B) using it as a parts car?

rust is a BIG pain but usually fixable. I bought a IX and it lived near the ocean so it was rusted bad too. It two huge holes on both driver and passenger floor boards atleast 8x8 big after cutting to good metal. It sucked to do but if you take a solid weeks it can be done very nice and you could sell it for a lot more if your still interested. From the pic it looks like a nice eta though
If i were you and you do end up with a new e30 trust me its nice to have a parts car aside cause you never no what your gonna need

I live in the Oshkosh area, how about you? It would be nice to know some local e30 fans. I've seen two e30's around besides mine, both which seemed to be beaters that people didn't respect for what they are ):

Id say keep it if you know how to fix the rust. Or wait for another cleaner e30. Always easier to fix an e30 when your base to mod, is cleaner.

I'm directly across the lake from Oshkosh, its about a 40 minute drive. I've been over to Gibsons pick n pull a couple times, they had 5 e30s last time I was there :)

I've spoken to him a couple times, I go to school in appleton, and I'm hoping to go pick up some parts from him in a couple days.

Buy another e30. Don't go and get an e46 or e36. If you do your banned! Jk all fun and games. You will regret it if you change everyone does GOD..

I would say drive that one till it blows and save money to get another. Once u got enough for a nice clean one then u can decide Wat u wanna do with this one
