Cleaning my tools = a super swell Saturday!

Anyone ells do spend part of today doing anything car related to put off doing other things like cleaning the bath room, shipping out car parts (thing will be shipped today ;)), or doing home work?
    I did!
My girl friend is working today, so I took the opportunity to clean my tools and tool box in my bed room, while watching Saving Private Ryan.
I really need a larger tool box. My collection of tools is starting to get to the point that I can not fit them in my box and keep them organized in a way that they are easy to find. I am thinking of getting a small portable rolling box. I do not have my own garage in SF, and always barrow garage time from friend and family, so having a box that is easy to move around is a must. I am thinking about getting this one.
    http://www.amazon.com/HOMAK-BK010321...8756452&sr=1-1
On to some pictures. I know I do not have an expensive set of tools, but the ones I have have served me well and always get the job done. I just buy tools when I need them.

The box. My dad has the same one, and my mom found mine at a garage sale when I was maybe 12. I was super stoked!

    Tools.

    And the crowded mess!

I have a collection of larger stuff in my shed that does not fit in my box like my three jaw puller, pickle fork, brake piston compression tool set, and so on.

Feel free to share some pictures of tools set! I am sure there are other people out there today who want to waist some time!

Hahaha your worse off then I am! Time to reorganize!
I wish I had air tools, but it just does not make any sens to own them till I have my own space to work in. I also really want a MIG machine!
I own a jack and four stands, and just ordered an engine stand, but I think that is all the large stuff I can fit in my shed right now. The M20 for my '02 is taking up to much room along with all the other random car parts.
Just picked up a OBDII scanner for my girl friend's MINI. I have only used it ones so fare.

Yep there you go. I have a auto dimming hood, gloves, clamps and all that, but no welder lol. I just keep putting it off and spending my money on parts instead.

The craftsman rally box is a decent way to store a very small amount of tools. I've been thinking about buying a few of them to make it easier to carry my track tools.

My current "mobile" box is kind of heavy - especially since those assholes at Craftsman won't put decent handles on the boxes that are close to light enough to carry by yourself. If you can lift it while filled with tools, it's decent and super cheap. It's the 26" 7 drawer piece. The problem is that the handles on the side kind of suck, and it weighs something like a hundred pounds the way I've got it loaded. (Obviously, the one on the table, not the 52" monster next to it...)

A harbor freight rolling cart, wouldn't be a bad idea if they are near where you live; definitely worth checking out there cheap boxes. Just a heads up though, the boxes tend to be out of square and not always perfect.

couldnt you buy some caster wheels, fab up some square metal the same size as the mounting plates on the caster, and then put them on the portable box by sandwiching the bottom between the casters and the metal plates with some pop rivets? then you could just roll it around.

the closets harbor freight is an hour and a half away. am not sure it is worth driving 3 hours for a box like that. i will most likely just order one off of amazon.

I have a cart that I can use for that. It's the picking it up and putting it in the truck part that kills me. It's certainly doable, even for my flabby ass, it's just not fun.
