    Terminal 50...or whatever the fuck its called...the BLACK AND YELLOW wire was attached at the wrong terminal on the starter. for whatever reason theres two spades on the solonoid...theres one on ytop and one on the bottom, it goes on the bottom spade which you need to be under the car to see. Car cranks after attaching that.
    Your next question is"why don't my windows and heater fan work?"

    The answer lies in beating the crap out of whatever hack worked on your car before you.

    HINT: there is a green/black wire in the starter harness. There is no red wire.

    That 2nd terminal has a reason to be there, figure it out and your windows will work.

      Car is an 85 325e. Battery good. No blown Fuses. Nothing special with the wiring when doing a 5 speed swap in an early model. Right ? The only wiring I've done is the wiring you have to change around in the center console.

      Here is what my starter wiring looks like.


      Any other sensors that would cause a no crank?
      Sorry for resurrecting a dead thread, but any ideas what that thinner red cable is for?
