that thought process was totally absent from my mind. I'm just thinking that if it is indeed a new turbo design, why would bmw NOT want to make it?

If you had such a good idea for a turbo, why would you sell the patent to turbonetics rather than a company that builds factory turbocharged cars? like BMW for instance
