Your turbo is electric, isn't it? Ebay beat you to it.

    That sounds super! (...charger)

i can understand a slight savings in not having the belt and friction on the pulleys, but doesnt most of the energy drain an alternator causes come from turning mechanical energy into electrical? You still have that conversion, so unless its amazingly efficient, I dont see how it can be any better. Its not like putting the alternator into the block is just spontaneously creating energy....

OP: It's advisable that you develop your product before you begin to market it (at least one functioning prototype), especially if this is supposed to be a new cutting edge technology (you don't want anyone stealing your idea do you?).

If we had specifics then you could get an idea on if it is marketable. I can already get a car with nearly zero turbo lag. Either by using convential turbos that are small or variable vains. What does yours offer? Reduced price? Can I run a 141mm turbo with zero lag? What am I gaining by your system?

i didnt just wake up one morning and do this shit dude. my uti education didnt help me with this for shit. i came up with it on my own. ive been designing shit for years and happened to come up with something that i think i will be able to build and sell. and i do understand the difference between engineering and automotive. i wasnt trying to put them together. i didnt come on here and talk about this to prove it to you. ill prove it when we have it built and start selling it. i understand where your coming from with the technology that has been around for a long time. but if that were the case then life would suck because we wouldnt have half the technology we do have. im not trying to sit here and have an argument through a keyboard with somebody im never going to meet. im just discussing the idea i had to see what people thought of it and maybe see how marketable it may be. i get where your coming from with what your saying. but your input means nothing to me if thats all you've got. thanks

also i kinda wanna take one of these new tablets and run megasquirt on it and mount it into a dash. would be pretty cool. touchscreen megasquirt with wireless internet and everything else you can do with a tablet right there in your dash. almost as awesome as the nissan with the built in xbow 360.

Why do engineering classes at a young age enlarge and firm the cranial cavity so?

Dude you're like a fucking rocket scientist.

I don't think you can just wake up one morning and use your UTI education to improve on technology that has been around for over 100 years.

There is a HUGE difference from being able to tune cars/put together race cars and engineering new technologies. Engineering is a whole different game. I can build a race car and not once care about the laws of thermodynamics.
