    Engine question...

As far as fuel additives go, what can you guys recommend for an
engine going on 239,xxx miles? I'm using 93 octane by the way. Are any of you putting anything in your gas tanks or in you oil to keep your e30's running in top form? Thanks.

i dont really believe in additives. i think all you need is clean oil and fresh gas. and unless youre chipped 93 octane is a waste. if i ever had a problem with my fuel system id try some techron as i hear guys swear by it. i run seafoam in all my 2 cycle crap and it keeps things clean but ive never put any additive in my e30

I've heard of people adding toluene to their gasoline to increase the octane rating. I'm lazy so you'll have to look it up yourself but I don't see why it wouldn't work (compared to over-the-counter "octane boosters") and it's relatively cheap. If it works ;)

No reason to do this unless you are running a very high compression piston or forced induction.
