    sometimes pops out of first gear

    hi guys

    just wondering what causes this and how it can be fixed?


    after second atempt goes in fine :S

      Either your shift linkage needs repair, or your transmission needs replacement/refurbishment.
      My trans used to pop out of 4th gear. When I took the trans out, the input shaft bearing was worn to hell.

          Was that the cause of the popping out of 4th gear issue? Or was that a separate issue? Did you fix it or throw the gearbox away?

              My swapped car pops out of reverse occasionally, has to do with the custom shift linkage not lining up quite right. Maybe yours is damaged?
