Are you a member of the BMWCCA?

I'm curious on this board who is a member of the Club. I know some people saw Stu mentioned in this month's Roundel, but I'm wondering what % have joined.

It's a great thing to be apart of, getting to know the other bimmer owners in your city, especially because those who join tend to be the biggest ethusiants. Discounts are sometimes also a benefit.

Anywho, replied if you are a member, and since when.

I've been a member for well over a year now, and only bought my car about 4 months ago. I actually go to the meetings and am really looking forward to autocrossing.... especially up against my buddy's 96 LTW.....or just bum a ride with him in it.

http://www.bmwcca.org/ I believe you can sign up there, or follow the links to your local chapter.

$35 is a great annual price you what you get! Shit, just the roundel itself is worth it.

I don't think my dealership gives a discount, but most places have 10-15%.....

My chapter, and many others, host autocrosses for members. They are mostly recreational and fun in my area, but supposedly "Windy City" aka Chicago is competetive with class distinctions.

My dad, Jay Hayes, used to be the President of the Minnesota North Star Chapter BMWCCA Club - then we moved to Idaho. We've gone to only two SCCA autocrosses here in town, I took part in one (in his 1995 BMW M3). But, next year, I'll be autocrossing at every event in my own car, I hope.

Either way, my dad and I (as well as the rest of my family) will be heading to California for Octoberfest. I know I'll be autocrossing, and I hope to god I can get on the track. I'll be only a month away from my 18th birthday!! 8)

Unfortunately, there is no BMWCCA chapter in or around Boise that I know of - that's one thing my dad misses. But, I know I am sort of a member of BMWCCA since my parents are. I'll be joining myself soon enough.

is there much of a scene around the Western New York area? i haven't really talked to anyone around here with bimmers. I would imagine there would be a lot going on in Toronto, but i will probably end up spending most of my summer on my motorcycle instead of driving 1.25 hours to T.O. lol
