Pls help!

Hey guys, so i have a 89 e30 (auto) and at first start up sometimes it takes awhile to turn.. as soon as it starts i have to hold down the gas or else it just stalls. once im on the road rolling for a good minute it doesnt stall, up until the next startup! ive replaced my fuel pump, and filter and it still does it. randomly the check engine light will pop up, and then shut off before i can take it to get checked out. any ideas? is this something a bad battery can cause? because ive been told my battery might need replacing soon. maybe spark plugs? thanks again, any help is appreciated. this is currently my only car, and my 3 year old daughter is always with me, so i would love to fix this problem asap! sorry if this is in the wrong section, just worried to be on the side of the freeway with a baby in the back! thanks again!!!!

have you checked for vacuum leaks? cracked intake boot?

yea check vacum leaks and if you have a spare battery try that one on and see how the car acts and in the engine check if all the plugs are connected cause sometimes some manage to wiggle off

My autotrajic has been doing the same lately, not as bad as yours mine only does it on start up and it will do it maybe like once or twice in a week. When it does it I just give it a lil gas and it turns on. I think mine is gonna be the fuel filter for sure so its gonna get replace mañana, but def now im gonna look into the vacuum leaks.

so far it has been, i just have to wait awhile.. but as soon as it starts i give it a little gas to keep the idle at about 1100, and switch it to drive before boggin, As soon as im on the road driving there havent been any issues of it boggin on stop signs or traffic lights.
